Desmond BoydMCALISTERIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Des, who passed away peacefully at Bluebell Park Care Home on Friday 10th May 2024, aged 88 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Laura, much loved dad of Diane and son-in-law Paul. Grandad to Adam and his wife Suzy, Matthew and his wife Claire. Very proud great grandad of Ruby, Otis, Emily and Annie.
Des was the former Landlord of The Woodlands Pub, Allestree and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A service for Des will be held at Markeaton Crematorium (Main Chapel) on Wednesday 29th May at 3:30pm.
Flowers may be sent c/o Central Co-op Funeral, 4 Park Farm, Birchover Way, Allestree DE22 2QN. If preferred, donations may be given at the service for Dementia UK and the Air Ambulance Service.
